Glenn Maxwell smashes fastest hundred in ODI World Cup history in just 40 balls

Australia batter Glenn Maxwell scored the fastest hundred in ODI World Cup history against the Netherlands at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Australia batter Glenn Maxwell hit the fastest century in ODI World Cup history against the Netherlands at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

Maxwell struck a 40-ball century, making him the fourth fastest ODI century ever.

During his 44-ball time in the middle, Maxwell hit nine fours and eight maximums. At 106, he was out on the final over to Logn van Beek. Earlier, South Africa’s Aiden Markram held the record with a 49-ball century against Sri Lanka at the same venue.
