The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have picked Dushmantha Chameera to replace England pacer Gus Atkinson in the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
Chameera will join KKR with a reserve fee of INR 50 lakh. The Sri Lankan speedster is recognised for his pace and can bother batsmen with his swing and seam movements. He played for the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 and 2021 IPL seasons, respectively.
He played for Lucknow Super Giants in the 2022 season, taking nine wickets in 12 matches.
