Shoaib Malik achieved a significant milestone on Saturday, January 20, becoming only the second batsman in T20 cricket history to reach 13,000 runs. He reached the milestone while playing for Fortune Barishal versus Rangpur Riders in the third round of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 in Dhaka.
Shoaib Malik scored an unbeaten 17 off 18 balls and was at the crease when Barishal reached his goal of 135 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium. Malik hit two boundaries and scored 25 runs alongside Mahmudullah.
Shoaib Malik also dismissed Rangpur Riders captain Nurul Hasan, who scored 23 runs.
