The ECB confirmed on Sunday that former West Indies captain Kieron Pollard will join the England coaching staff for the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup.
Pollard joins the England coaching staff as an assistant coach for the June tournament.
When the competition is co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States, the 36-year-old former Somerset all-rounder from Trinidad and Tobago will bring knowledge of Caribbean conditions.
Pollard helped the West Indies win the T20 World Cup in 2012 and has appeared in over 600 T20 matches.
The ninth T20 World Cup will be held from June 4 to June 30, with the final taking place at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.
England will defend the championship they won 13 months ago in Australia in a tournament enlarged from 16 to 20 teams.
