The Sri Lanka cricket board has announced that experienced all-rounder Angelo Mathews and bowler Dushmantha Chameera would be added to the World Cup squad as travelling reserves, and they will arrive in Lucknow on Friday.
Mathews and Chameera were both last seen playing in an ODI series against Afghanistan in June. Mathews, 36, has played in 221 games and has approximately 6000 runs and 120 wickets to his name. He has recently concentrated on his batting and plays as a specialised batter.
Chameera, a 31-year-old right-arm bowler, has represented his country in 44 One-Day Internationals, taking 50 wickets.
